Tommy Hilfiger will launch a special collection of children’s clothing, focused on children with a disability. Previously, M&S also announced it would have a specific product range for small children with disabilities.
Beautiful clothing for all children
Tommy Hilfiger’s starting collection will contain 22 pieces of clothing, ranging from shirts to skirts and jeans. Often, these need to be adapted for children in wheelchairs or for children with muscular issues. Buttons and zippers may pose problems and that is why alternatives were created, like Velcro or magnets.
The difference is in the details. For example, wheelchair-focused clothing also has different sleeve and leg lengths or a different waistline.
The altered products will have comparable pricing to Tommy Hilfiger’s other items, but this collection was specifically made for the American market.
Marks & Spencer also joins
The collection is intended to make the youngsters feel better about themselves as they were used to going to medical stores to buy adjusted clothing.
Tommy Hilfiger is not the only company with a specific product range for these children. British Marks & Spencer will also launch a specific collection of sleeping clothes and body suits for young children with disabilities or limitations. This collection will only be available online.
