Dutch shoe store chain vanHaren Schoenen’s first Belgian store is the launch of an ambitious expansion plan with another six locations already revealed.
First Aalst, then Tielt-Winge
The Nieuwstraat in Aalst welcomed the very first vanHaren Schoenen in Belgium, about 500 sqm in size. This is the second success in quick succession for the street that recently also welcomed a new Zara store.
vanHaren‘s expansion plan for Belgium is becoming clearer by the day. It will open a new store in Tielt-Winge’s Gouden Kruispunt next week in België and Bredene, Turnhout, Genk and Dendermonde will all get new stores this year. The chain is also in negotiations with several other locations as well.
vanHaren Schoenen is part of the Deichmann group, the largest shoe group in the world. It officially announced its Belgian arrival earlier this year, because it sees growth as a “value retailer”. Only last week, the company announced record turnover in 2016.
