Six months after launching in Denmark, Vinted has acquired local market leader Trendsales. The move fits in a broader strategy to grow in the Nordics.

Vinted CEO Adam Jay points to the growing Danish demand for second-hand clothing, saying Trendsales has played an important role in that development. Moreover, he says that Trendsales has built itself a strong community, which Vinted wants to tap into.
Trendsales is one of the most downloaded apps in Denmark, a position that Vinted wants to claim for itself. The Lithuanian second-hand platform aims to be Europe’s number one and entered the Danish market only in September last year, after launching in Finland and Sweden (in 2022). The Trendsales purchase should allow Vinted to strengthen its presence in the Nordics.
“By combining Vinted’s scale and expertise with Trendsales’ regional knowledge and strong Danish presence, the combined business can achieve significant synergies and new opportunities to benefit Danish consumers”, Vinted says in a press release. Vinted first acquired United Wardrobe in the Netherlands (in 2021), followed by German Rebelle in 2022. Both sites have since been discontinued.
