American shoe brand Skechers is to open its very first single-brand store in Belgium on Saturday, in the Wijnegem Shopping Center near Antwerp.
More than 3,000 sporting shoes
With more than 3,000 sporting shoes, the brand targets men, women and children with an active lifestyle. Modern lofts and industrial stores were a source of inspiration for the interior designers, which means a lot of concrete, brick, visible metal beams and lighting.
Skechers’ arrival is another celebratory note for the Wijnegem Shopping Center, after the recent additions of Uniqlo, Red Bull Racing eyewear and the remodeled C&A store.
Skechers – with its main office in Manhattan Beach, California and a 3 billion dollar worldwide turnover – sells its shoes in more than 160 countries, through 1,340 stores of its own and thousands of multibrand stores. Torfs, Brantano and Avance have Skechers in their Belgian product range. The goal is to have about 15 stores of its own all across the Benelux.
