In the first quarter of 2017, Yoox Net-a-Porter continued its growth. Not only did turnover grow more than 15 %, the number of visitors and orders also went up tremendously compared to the previous year.
2.2 million orders
The group’s first quarter turnover grew 15.4 % to 515 million euro and organically, that would even have been a 19.1 % increase. It also welcomed 200 million unique visitors on its website, up from 178 million in 2016, and it now has 3 million active customers, up 500,000 compared to last year. Combined, these customers placed 2.2 million orders with an average of 343 euro. Last year, it received 2 million orders, averaging 324 euro.
“The first quarter saw strong revenue growth combined with a number of strategic initiatives which put us on track for our ambitious short and medium-term targets”, CEO Federico Marchetti said.
The company performed particularly well in Europe and North America. Excluding Italy and the United Kingdom, it achieved an 11.2 % turnover growth in Europe, but North America performed even better, with 21.2 %.
