Zalando is expanding further into Eastern Europe. Today, the fashion platform launches in Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia, later this year Croatia, Estonia and Latvia will follow, in 2022 it’s the turn of Hungary and Romania.
New opportunities for brands
Zalando’s fashion platform is expanding into three new markets today: in Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia customers can now experience the convenience of the online platform in the areas of delivery, payment and returns. Later this year Croatia, Estonia and Latvia will follow and in 2022 also Hungary and Romania, reports the retailer in a press release. Zalando already serves around 42 million active customers in 20 markets. The expansion creates new opportunities for brands participating in the platform’s partner programme, the company stresses.
“We are very excited to welcome customers in Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia. For us, the launch of our platform in the three countries is a major step toward being the starting point for fashion in Europe and opening up the Zalando universe to even more customers,” says Lisa Miczaika, Vice President Central Europe at Zalando.
