Zalando has expanded its second-hand webshop Zircle to Scandinavia. Customers in Sweden and Denmark can now also buy second-hand fashion items through the online platform.
Great interest in second-hand clothing
The expansion is a result of a Zalando survey that showed that half of the Swedish and Danish customers would consider buying second-hand clothes in the next six months. “All of this comes with the look, feel and convenience of Zalando, making more than 100,000 fashion items from well-known brands now available to all Zalando customers in these two markets in the Nordics,” the e-tailer told Ecommerce News.
Zircle was launched in Berlin, the capital of Germany, in 2019. For Zalando, it was a great test to discover how the second-hand shopping experience works for its customers and how it can be further scaled up and improved. Last year, the fashion retailer integrated the second-hand category into its online shop in Germany, Spain, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Poland.
