Will we soon be seeing the famous 7-Eleven signs all across Europe? The convenience store chain is expanding into Europe and looking for franchisees in a number of major markets.
All over Europe?
7-Eleven is preparing an expansion into Europe, is looking for experienced franchisees who already run a retail, foodservice or hotel business. The convenience store chain is initially targeting France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Austria and Switzerland could also be considered, Lebensmittel Zeitung reports. However, the Benelux countries seem not to be included in the plans.
7-Eleven may follow in the footsteps of another North-American convenience store giant that has just announced its arrival in Europe: the Canadian group Couche-Tard has entered into a strategic partnership with Total. Eventually, Couche-Tard will operate Total’s service stations outside France and may offer other services and shops along European motorways.
