Bol CEO Margaret Versteden-van Duijn will take over as CEO of Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall on 1 September. She will succeed Marit van Egmond, who will step down on 1 May, and will in turn hand her post over to Maite Zubiaurre.

Versteden-van Duijn holds dual Australian and Dutch nationality and has worked across the globe, including in France, Germany and Malaysia. Her international career spans roles at Bain & Company, Nike and the Boston Consulting Group, before joining (then) bol.com ten years ago. She became CEO of bol in 2021.
Maite Zubiaurre, currently bol’s Chief Product & Technology Officer, will be promoted to CEO of Ahold Delhaize‘s Dutch webshop on 1 September. The Spanish national joined bol in 2016 and has since held key roles including Director of Strategy & Business Development, Marketing Director, and Chief Product Officer. In 2024, she expanded her portfolio to include Technology. Prior to her time at bol, she spent a decade at BCG, working in the Netherlands, Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom.
