Ahold Delhaize has published its first pro forma results from its new merger company, which have to serve as a base of comparison for Ahold Delhaize’s first set of results.
More than 60 billion euro in turnover together
The current results are based on Ahold and Delhaize’s separate performances since the start of the fiscal year 2015, but do not take into account stores that were sold (about 100 stores were sold in the United States, for example) and the merger costs. Tom & Co’s results were also not featured in the results, a chain sold in June by Delhaize. The merger costs were 62 million euro in 2015 and another 15 million euro in the first half of 2016.
The combined results show that Ahold Delhaize managed a 60.9 billion euro turnover in 2015 and a 32.3 billion euro turnover in the first half of 2016. Net profit was 1.2 billion euro in 2015 and 656 million euro in the first half of 2016.
