Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn has appointed two new directors. Deliveroo‘s Philip Padberg will head the chain’s Dutch web shop, while Blokker‘s Rob Heesen takes control of convenience chain AH to go.
New directors for AH to go and AH.nl
Padberg was responsible for Continental Europe at meal delivery company Deliveroo, and will take that knowledge and experience with him to Albert Heijn’s Dutch web supermarket. He succeeds Selma Postma, who heads to the United States to point Albert Heijn’s American online sibling Peapod in the right direction.
Meanwhile, AH to go director Jan-Willem Dockheer is leaving Albert Heijn to apply himself to “an external challenge”, the chain says in a press release. His successor Heesen has built his CV around Dutch chains Hema, Super de Boer and Etos (another one of Albert Heijn’s siblings at Ahold), before moving to Blokker to take the reins there.
