Amazon’s online supermarket, Amazon Fresh, is now also available in the United Kingdom. At first, it will only be available in parts of London.

“We are launching with a comprehensive offer in a limited area and will take our time to hone our service”, Amazon Fresh’ Ajay Kavan told BBC. Amazon already offered fresh products through its Prime Now service in the United Kingdom, but that only contained a limited product range.
A while back, Amazon signed a deal with supermarket chain Morrisons, which will bring a wide selection of its products to Amazon. Other suppliers (including 50 local manufacturers) will also be present, expanding Amazon’s product range. All in all, users will have access to an incredible 130,000 items, while the company promises to have very competitive prices
Similar to the United States, Amazon Fresh is not available for free in the United Kingdom. A 6.99 pound (9 euro) monthly subscription fee needs to be paid in exchange for a same day grocery delivery service.
