Walmart remains the most popular supermarket in the United States, but Amazon Fresh gained the most fans and Whole Foods Market is perceived as having the highest-quality offer. Rather worryingly, Gen Z finds supermarket visits boring and is shopping online more often.

63.3 % of US adults would “consider” shopping at Walmart: this puts the retail giant well ahead of numbers two and three in the ranking, Target (42.5 %) and Aldi (32.8 %), respectively. This is according to a new report by market researcher YouGov on the US supermarket landscape.
