Flemish Bart Grieten will lead AB InBev’s European breweries, starting in March when he takes over from Ludo Degelin. After 37 years with the company, Degelin will now move on to other things.
Expansions
Bart Grieten already has a wealth of experience with AB InBev, as he has been with the company for more than 20 years. He is currently responsible for a whole range of activities within the company (breweries, engineering, planning and logistics) in a range of countries (Benelux, France, Italy and Spain). In March, he will be promoted according to Trends.
A new production line has also been launched in Leuven today, which should help boost an additional 3 million hectoliters of beer in order to meet the increased foreign demand. Particularly Hoegaarden, Leffe and Stella Artois have been popular abroad. That is why it will also increase the manufacturing capabilities in Hoegaarden, while the Jupille brewery will also increase its flow capacity.
These expansions are Degelin’s last feat, which shows he can leave the company in style.
