Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield reportedly want to buy back Ben & Jerry’s, the ice cream brand they founded, from Unilever. However, that multinational is currently planning an IPO for its entire ice cream division.

The two founders had exploratory talks about a possible deal in recent months, news agency Bloomberg reports based on anonymous sources, and they would be looking for the support of socially engaged investors to finance a takeover. However, it is not clear whether the entrepreneurs really want to go ahead with their plans, as their company is currently worth several billion euros.
