Carrefour Market is going to display customer ratings for some two hundred items in its physical stores, featuring a short text from the customer and a star-based rating. The chain will implement this feature in its home territory, France, first.
Convince customers
The ratings will only be on display for private label items and should help convince customers to buy the private label thanks to positive ratings and stories from other customers. Starting 17 July, the system will be available in Carrefour Market.
Carrefour looks to its web shop to find the reviews, chooses the positives ones and focuses on the ones with a high overall rating. Nevertheless, many customers will undoubtedly be relieved to see other consumers’ positive feedback on an item they have not tried themselves.
Carrefour is fully focused on a range of innovations: its Italian division recently launched Carrefour Express 3 Minuti, a formula that should help customers within three minutes. The 160 sqm store mainly focuses on ready-made meals.
