James McCann, Ahold USA CEO, has decided to leave the company and will be succeeded by current Delhaize America CEO, Kevin Holt.
“Thank him for contributions”
In September 2011, James McCann joined Dutch company Ahold as its commercial director and took charge of the American branch in 2013. He became part of Ahold Delhaize’s board of directors after both companies merged, but he has now decided to withdraw, although he will remain active until April 2017.
“We would like to thank James for his significant contributions in the implementation of our eCommerce strategy during his time in Europe and for his 3.5 year tenure transforming Ahold USA”, Ahold Delhaize CEO, Dick Boer, said.
Kevin Holt, current Delhaize America CEO and member of Ahold Delhaize’s board, will succeed McCann. His own duties will temporarily be handled by Frans Muller.
