Greenyard Foods‘ Chief Financial Officer Koen Sticker will leave the vegetable processor on 31 July. He started with Univeg in 2010 and became its Chief Financial Officer three years later, holding onto the position in the 2015 merger to Greenyards.
Contributed to Univeg and Greenyard Foods
“I am happy to have contributed to the Univeg and Greenyard Foods success stories. The group’s entrepreneurial spirit is very inspiring and encourages to push boundaries. However, now the time has come to tackle new challenges with another company in another branch”, Sticker said. In August, he will become CFO at Aliaxis, an industrial company that focuses on infrastructural supplies.
Greenyard Foods, located in Belgian Sint-Katelijne-Waver, is a worldwide leader in fresh and prepared vegetables, fruit and substrates. The company has several divisions: Pinguin (frozen foods), Noliko (canned fruit and vegetables), Univeg (fresh fruit and vegetables) and Peltracom (substrates).
The company was founded 50 years ago when the frozen food division Pinguin’s factory was built in Westrozebeke. In 1995, it acquired locations in France and the United Kingdom, before adding canned food division Noliko in 2011. Only last year, Univeg and Peltracom joined Greenyard Foods’ ranks. Univeg is a supplier of packaged vegetables for many supermarket chains and is a well-known international brand, having acquired several companies specialized in processing, logistics and distribution.
Greenyard Foods has locations all across the world and supplies to international companies, including many European retailers. It has about 8,200 employees, is active in 26 countries and generated a 3.9 billion euro turnover in its past fiscal year, which ended on 31 March 2015.
