30 % wage increase
It is unclear how many people are on strike now, but the number grew from 10,000 to 30,000 employees in a single day. Local governments and the manufacturer are now in talks, after employees to let the trade union to talk in their place.
The Yue Yuen factory creates shoes for Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Asics and Puma, but has now suffered a second strike in less than a month. No agreement could be reached at that time and that is why the employees went on strike again. In total, some 40,000 people work at this particular factory.
