Coca-Cola remains the world’s top-selling FMCG brand – but not in Belgium and the Netherlands. Red Bull grew the fastest, thanks to expansion into more and more markets. Sunsilk also continues its rise.

For twelve years now, research firm Kantar has been publishing its ‘Brand Footprint’, a global survey of the strongest FMCG brands that this year looked into 42,800 brands in 62 markets on five continents – accounting for 76 % of the world’s population and 86 % of gross domestic product. The ranking is not very surprising: Coca-Cola, Colgate and Maggi have been the top three best-selling brands in the world for many years. Multinationals like Unilever, PepsiCo and Nestlé dominate the list with their brands.
