Yesterday, Belgian e-tailer Collect&Go processed almost 20,000 pickups. During the holidays, customers are increasingly opting for the convenience of ordering online, Colruyt Group’s online shopping service says.
Convenience and time savings
Collect&Go is having its busiest days ever: yesterday almost 20,000 orders were collected by customers. The absolute frontrunner was Gosselies with 220 orders. For 23 and 24 December, Collect&Go received 60 % more orders than for an average weekend. “This year-end, more and more people are opting for simplicity, convenience and time savings through online orders. Customers are planning this better and well on time”, the retailer states in a press release.
In addition to an increase in typical Christmas dishes and champagnes in the orders, the supermarket chain has noticed that customers also order a lot of fruit and vegetables. For the chain, this is “proof and confirmation of the trust that our employees choose the best products for them.”
