In early May, it became clear that Mondelez products, including popular items from brands like LU and Côte d’Or, had gone missing from store shelves due to price discussions. Mondelez wanted to revise the previously concluded annual agreement for 2023, Colruyt did not agree, resulting in the manufacturer stopping deliveries.
In recent weeks, talks between Mondelez and Colruyt Group went on “in a constructive atmosphere”, the retailer said in a press release. As an agreement was reached, Mondelez products will be supplied again. Details of the agreement are not being released.
“We are very satisfied with the agreement made and look forward to again being able to offer Mondelez products to our customers. Our top priority is and will continue to be to protect our customers’ wallets. It goes without saying that we will continue to live up to our Lowest Prices Guarantee, for any product, at any time”, Colruyt Group added.
