Collect&Go, Colruyt Group‘s online shopping service, is now working with French delivery platform Shopopop. Private ‘drivers’ in the Antwerp region can register for the home delivery of online orders.
Crowdshipping
Colruyt Group continues to believe in ‘crowdshipping’, a concept that allows individuals to earn a little extra money by delivering online orders to other people’s homes. The retailer launched a first test with a shopping community back in January 2020 and is now taking new steps.
Candidate deliverers can register in the Collect&Go Drivers app. They then see where in the neighbourhood they can collect and deliver their groceries. Per delivery they earn 6.25 euro. If the request is not picked up by a private delivery company, the delivery will be done by a Collect&Go employee or a courier.
Next day delivery
The Collect&Go delivery service is currently available in a limited number of postal codes in the provinces of Antwerp, Flemish Brabant, East Flanders and West Flanders, according to information in the webshop. In the Antwerp region, Colruyt Group recently started working with the French delivery platform Shopopop for the service. This platform recently announced ambitious growth plans in the Benelux.
Customers who make reservations before 4 pm can have their shopping delivered the next day. Shoppers can choose a pick-up time between 12 pm and 8 pm from Monday to Friday, and the fee is 7 euros on top of the 5.95 euros preparation fee. There is a maximum order amount of 250 euros, excluding service costs.
