Swedish furniture chain Ikea is opening a pop-up restaurant in London next week, where customers will be their own chef. At The Dining Club customers can attend different cooking classes, where they will be cooking for their friends.
Completely free
The restaurant will open on 10 September and will remain open for two weeks. Customers will get the possibility to prepare a brunch, lunch or dinner for a group of maximum twenty people, all under the guidance of professional chefs.
“With people spending less time cooking and eating together in the U.K., Ikea are giving the foodies, wannabe-cooks, kitchen-novices and fine-diners the chance to express themselves and impress their friends in a restaurant”, Ikea says about the concept.
Customers who succeed in getting a spot for one of the workshops will be able to participate completely free. All the food and the service are at the expense of Ikea.
