COO leaves company
Over the first 9 months of the fiscal year, Desigual’s turnover reached 724.7 million euro, a 2.2 % drop compared to 2014. Turnover drops in France and Spain, respectively – 8 % and – 6 % were the major issue here, as these are also the company’s two largest markets.
From the start of 2015, Desigual has begun to optimize its store network, which means it will open fewer stores this year.
Manel Jiménez, the Spanish fashion label’s COO, has also divulged he will leave the company in order to focus on new projects. His departure is the next step in a long series of high-profile departures from Desigual’s board this year: CEO Manel Jadraque left in May, a move mimicked by commercial director Carlos Maiz, head of the real estate division Joan Rouras and head of the women’s department José Armillas.
