Nearly 15 million visitors per year
Galeries Lafayette will open a 6,000 sqm store in 2018, in the Carré-Senart shopping center in Lieusaint (Seine-et-Marne). The luxury department store will occupy 2 floors of the new wing Unibail-Rodamco is currently building. The extension, adding 40,000 sqm, will create a 150,000 sqm shopping center by 2018.
Apparently, the chain chose Carré-Sénart, France’s first 4-star shopping center, because it is a “treasury of top-notch quality”, which fits the brand’s appeal perfectly. The center has 130 stores and attracts 14.7 million visitors per year, which ranks it number 10 of France’s most visited shopping centers.
