The era of two co-CEOs at Greenyard is ending, as Hein Deprez and Marc Zwaaneveld are replaced by Francis Kint, currently Managing Director of the Frozen Division at the Belgian fruit and vegetable producer.
“Fruitful collaboration”
Both Deprez and Zwaaneveld turn 63 and are stepping out of the daily rat race. They will stay connected to the company though, Zwaaneveld will continue to advise the company while founder Deprez will continue to set out the strategic direction of the company as Executive Director of the Board of Directors. “We look forward to a fruitful collaboration”, Board chairman Koen Hoffman punned.
The new CEO certainly is not green behind the ears: he was CEO at Univeg (which became Greenyard’s Fresh department later) between 2013 and 2015 before going into the meat business with jobs at Dutch Vion and Belgian Ter Beke. He returned to Greenyard in 2021 to lead the Frozen department.
