Plenty of fashion experience
Lemaire had previously announced he would leave Hermès in October 2014 and that meant the company had to look for a new artistic director for its female ready-to-wear branch.
Vanhee-Cybulski has plenty of experience in the fashion world, having previously worked for The Row, Céline and Maison Martin Margiela. It is not clear when she will start working at Hermès, but Lemaire’s final collection will be on display during the Paris Fashion Week in October.
Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Antwerp
“We welcome the arrival of Nadège. Her talent and her creative track record will be great assets in the continued development of women’s ready-to-wear. She will devote herself full-time to our house”, CEO Axel Dumas said.
Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski has studied at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Antwerp, moved to New York in 2011 to help build Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s fashion brand, The Row, a position she relinquished in March 2014.
