Presenting plant-based proteins in shops alongside meal kits encourages customers to cook plant-based meals more often, research by Ghent University – in collaboration with Carrefour Belgium – suggests.
‘Nudging’
BE4LIFE, a research centre at Ghent University, conducted a study in collaboration with Carrefour Belgium to investigate whether placing plant-based protein products next to meal kits could lead to an increase in sales of both meal kits and plant-based protein products. The study was conducted in the last quarter of 2023.
