Swedish furniture chain Ikea will open its first Parisian pop-up store tonight. Obviously, the restaurant’s interior is made up from Ikea furniture, but several of the dishes’ ingredients can also be found at Ikea stores.
All profit goes to charity
Several amateur chefs will create the dishes chosen by internet users and a new chef will get to display his talent every day, until 25 June.
Everything will cost 10 euro and all profit will be given to charity. Ikea’s main goal with this pop-up store is to emphasize its innovation efforts for the chain’s restaurants. It has already remodeled 15 of its stores’ restaurants.
“We want to get people to sit at our dinner tables. To entice them to do so, we have expanded our product range with high-quality, certified, safe and accessible products”, Ikea Food France deputy director, Faustine Colin, said.
