It will not merely be a virtual store, but will be accompanied by an actual pop-up store in New York’s SoHo neighbourhood, where customers can have a drink something, use a ‘photo booth’, use free WiFi and win Marc Jacobs perfumes and accessories by using the hashtag #MJDaisyChain on Twitter or Instagram between 7 February and 9 February. The most creative posts will have a better chance of winning, but it is unclear whether retweets generate more “value”.
Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer who runs Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Between 1997 and 2013, he was Louis Vuitton’s lead designer.
