Fruit and vegetable manufacturer Greenyard and CEO Marleen Vaesen have mutually concluded to go their separate ways. Hein Deprez will become the CEO and several other positions have also been shaken up.
New director of operations
Vaesen worked for Greenyard for five years and had an important role in the recent mergers, where three companies merged into what is now Greenyard. Her departure will bring Deprez back into the day-to-day operations.
Deprez was also the executive chairman, but independent director Koen Hoffman will now assume that position. Financial director Carl Peeters will move to a new position, director of operations. Tim Van Londersele will head all of the company’s fresh division, aside from the “Bakker” (Bakery) division, which Irénke Meekma will lead. Charles-Henri Deprez will lead the “lang vers” (long fresh) and will therefore stop down as Greenyard director, a position Hein Deprez’ eldest daughter, Valentine Deprez, will now assume.
“Every division now has its own managing director and I am the only manager still left in the board”, Deprez explained the changes to De Standaard.
