Nestlé and European purchase alliance AgeCore – which includes Colruyt – have reached a deal after months of conflict. The boycott of some 200 Nestlé products will now come to an end.
“Balanced deal “
“We are satisfied we have reached a balanced deal and that Nestlé products will soon be available again at European purchase alliance AgeCore’s six members”, a Nestlé spokesperson confirmed to German trade paper Lebensmittel Zeitung. The alliance consists of six members: Colruyt (Belgium), Edeka (Germany), Coop (Switzerland), Intermarché (France), Conad (Italy) and Eroski (Spain).
The conflict between both trade partners started in February and in order to obtain better purchase conditions, AgeCore’s members decided to no longer order dozens of Nestlé’s products. The dispute escalated in the next few weeks, but Nestlé showed a willingness to come to a deal in the past month. That has now been officially confirmed, but no details have been revealed.
