Ahold Delhaize appointed Johan Boeijenga as its new Indonesian supermarket chain Super Indo’s president. Up until now, he had been Kruidvat Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg’s COO.
Indonesian experience
Boeijenga has more than twenty of retail experience: he started his career at Albert Heijn in 1988 and occupied other positions at Albert Heijn and Ahold afterwards. Until 2009, he was Ahold Central Europe’s CEO, but also took charge of TOPS Royal Ahold in Indonesia between 2000 and 2003.
After 2009, he worked for Jumbo and worked as a consultant. He became Kruidvat Belgium Netherlands and Luxembourg’s COO in 2013, but also became part of the board at Kruidvat’s parent company, A.S. Watson.
