Danish brewer Carlsberg has appointed Dutch Michiel J. Herkemij as its new Senior Vice President for Western Europe. He will succeed Jorn Tolstrup Rohde, who will leave the company on 1 April.
New boss in United Kingdom
Herkemij has garnered plenty of experience over the years and already managed Carlsberg UK’s activities as its temporary CEO. Previously, he worked for Douwe Egberts, Heineken, Friesland Foods and British American Tobacco.
From April onward, Julian Momen will become Carlsberg UK’s new CEO and leave his position as CFO for the British brand to someone else.
“We wish Michiel Herkemij and Julian Momen all the best and every success for their new, challenging assignments, and would like to thank them for their great engagement and achievements in their current roles. To Jørn Tolstrup Rohde, we extend our sincere appreciation for his contribution to ExCom and the Group, and the professional way he has handled the leadership of the Western Europe region. We wish him success in his further professional and personal future”, CEO Cees ‘t Hart said in a press release.
Jorn Tolstrup Rohde worked for Carlsberg for 7 years, but decided to leave the company in the search for a new leading position with another company.
