Spirits producer Bacardi has appointed Stéphane Cluzet as Managing Director for Western Europe. Gilles Nackaerts will be the new Business Unit Director for Belgium and Luxembourg, Merlijn van de Ven takes up the same position in the Netherlands.

The largest private international spirits company in the world has promoted Cluzet from being Managing Director for Bacardi in France and Italy to Managing Director for Western Europe, responsible for France and Benelux. Nackaerts will now lead commercial operations in Belgium and Luxembourg, both on-trade (on-trade) and off-trade (retail). He joined Bacardi four years ago as head of off-trade and wholesale operations in Belgium and Luxembourg. Van de Ven, meanwhile, will lead the Dutch operations. He joined Bacardi twelve years ago and in his previous role led the off-trade operations in the Netherlands.
Bacardi is known for premium brands such as Bacardi Rum, Grey Goose, Dewar’s, Bombay Sapphire, Martini, William Lawson’s and Eristoff.
