Connecting
online and offline
As many
other brands Nordstrom has its own page on Pinterest, a website where visitors
can ‘pin’ stuff they find interesting. Now Nordstrom is bringing Pinterest back
to its stores, by putting tags on a number of products. “It’s one way of trying
to tell consumers: This is popular, and here’s how we can prove it to you”,
says Eliza Kern of Gigaom.com.
At the
moment you will not find the tags in every store of Nordstrom and it is not yet
known if the project will be expanded in the future. Nordstrom later posted
pictures of the tagged items back on Pinterest, nicely completing the circle between
online and offline.
