Multilingual mirror will give advice
Customers of the New York-based Ralph Lauren store will be able to ask another size through the mirror and it will also recommend items based on what the customers brings to the fitting room. These clothing items will also appear on the mirror itself.
If customers want to buy the mirror’s recommendations, then they can enter their phone number and subsequently they will receive a text message with a link to the web shop. PayPal can also be used to buy things straight from the fitting room.
The technology has also been translated in several languages, to accommodate as many customers as possible: Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese and Mandarin.
Ralph Lauren has 16 of these mirrors, developed by the Oak Labs start-up, and 8 of these are currently in its New York store. The remaining 8 will be deployed in other stores, starting next month.
