Third
London store aimed at international buyers
La
Maison in Motion offers a new 550 square meters (5920 sqft) of sales
opportunity, on the former spot of ski and surf brand Quicksilver.
Hand bags and shoes for women will be sold on the ground floor, with
the first floor focusing on leather for men and suitcases.
The
new location should attract a different and more international
audience than the store in Bond Street, which is why international fashion brands
prefer Regent Street. Armani, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Burberry
were already present there and by the end of the year J. Crew will
join the ranks.
The
third Longchamp shop in London also fits perfectly into the French
brand’s expansion, which is opening new stores in Munich, Rome and
Barcelona in the next few months. Worldwide, Longchamp already has
more than 250 stores and concessions.
Theturnover in the past three years has risen 75 %, thanks to an
increased demand from the Asian middle-class. Its six French
factories still provide half of the hand bags sold by the
family-owned company, with the other half created by partners.
