Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn (Ahold Delhaize) has completed its new board of directors: on 1 September, Sonja Boelhouwer joins the board as new Director of Stores, succeeding Cees van Vliet.
Board complete
Last week, the chain already announced the results of a board reshuffle by CEO Marit van Egmond, but the name of Van Vliet’s successor was still missing from the list. With Boelhouwer’s appointment, the reshuffle is now complete.
The new director has been working for chains in the Ahold Delhaize group for twenty years: currently she is responsible for brand strategy, formats and real estate at its American subsidiary Stop & Shop, after joining from another American chain called Giant/Martins. Before that, she also was operational manager in the Dutch region of South Holland.
