Supermarket company Spar International announced it intends to open fifty new stores in Ukraine over the next three years. The very first one of those fifty has just opened its doors in Rivne.
VolWest collaboration
Back in 2001, Spar opened its first Ukrainian supermarket, consistently adding new ones until it had reached fifteen by the end of 2016. However, retailer VolWest wants to open another fifteen Spar locations this year alone. VolWest is already active in the region with more than 200 Nash Kraj supermarkets.
Spar maintains his values in Ukraine, which means it will present a local product range. Ninety percent of the Rivne store’s product range are from Ukrainian manufacturers. “SPAR International worked closely with VolWest to ensure the store development and design represented international best practice and that VolWest Group shared SPAR’s commitment to freshness, quality, choice and excellence in customer service”, managing director Tobias Wasmuht said in a press release.
