Dutch food company Wessanen has raised its third quarter turnover by 7 %, mainly thanks to the excellent performance of its own brands. Some even experienced double-digit growth.

Wessanen’s total third quarter turnover reached 147.4 million euro, up 7.2 % compared to the year before. Its own brands experienced a 9 % turnover increase, leading to a net profit increase as well, from 6 to 8.5 million euro. Spread across the first three quarters, profit grew 29.1 % to 28.8 million euro.
Wessanen considers it to have been a solid quarter, with an increased growth pace for its brands as compared to last year’s first six months. The German brands have also all returned to growth, after the successful implementation of a new strategy. There was strong growth for the dairy replacements, performing well in every market.
Whole Earth peanut butter sold exceptionally well in the Benelux and its Zonnatura dairy replacements were also off to a strong start.
