Ahold Delhaize will have to start looking for a new CEO Europe and Indonesia, as Wouter Kolk will leave the retailer at the end of the year.
Until the end of this year
Kolk started at Ahold in 1991 and has since then taken on roles such as Commercial Director Asia-Pacific, Regional Director for Albert Heijn and CEO of the chains Gall & Gall, Etos and Albert Heijn. In 2018, he became CEO Europe and Indonesia.
In a press release on the Dutch retail group’s website, Kolk says he now wants to “bring my leadership, passion and experience to life at a different company” The Dutchman was recently appointed to AkzoNobel’s supervisory board.
Kolk will remain at Ahold Delhaize’s Management Board until the end of this year. News of a successor will follow later.
