Action has opened the virtual doors of its Belgian webshop on Monday. The online shop will have ever-changing deals, making the offer there different from the physical stores.
Deals on Tuesdays
After the Netherlands, Action now also has its own e-commerce in Belgium. The webshop offers different products than the stores, to complement the offer with larger items that customers usually prefer to have delivered to their homes, such as garden furniture, tool trolleys and rugs. The range will change regularly, including weekly new “online-only” deals.
In this way, the webshop aims to complement the store offer, but also to attract new customers. Action is now “more accessible to an even wider audience”, says Joeri Sanders, General Manager BeLux. Action offers around 150 products online on average, with new deals every Tuesday at noon. Orders are delivered to your home within 3 to 5 working days.
Digitalisation is a strategic pillar in the non-food discounter’s growth strategy, although physical stores remain “the most important component”. Two years ago, Action opened its first webshop in the Netherlands and today Belgium is the second country to follow suit. “On the ROPO (research online, purchase offline) front, Action was already strong across Europe with its website and loyalty app,” the company says.
