French distribution center
Action opened its first Austrian store in Kittsee, on 26 November, which means the company has now entered 6 different markets: the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Austria.
Only last week, Action opened its 100th store in France and has even struck a deal in principle with French La Halle, to acquire several of its stores. Although it remains to be seen how many it will actually acquire, it will definitely transform 2 La Halle stores into Action stores this year. It will also open a new distribution center near Paris early 2016, to support its French growth.
“Action has become an international organization and that makes me very proud. The formula has a huge potential for growth and everything we do is focused on happy customers. Our growth allows us to get people acquainted with our low prices and expansive, ever-changing product range. Our increase in stores is also positive for the local economy and employment rates”, Action CEO Ronald van der Mark said.
