The RetailDetail Night is Belgium’s annual “retail Hogmanay” and promises an inspiring afternoon programme and a huge retailers’ party in the evening.
Five afternoon seminars
Since 2011, the RetailDetail Night has been the festive end of the year for retail professionals in the Benelux. The eighth edition takes place on Thursday 29 November in San Marco Village in Schelle (near Antwerp). In the afternoon, participants can choose from no fewer than five inspiring programmes, all of them seminars with leading speakers. Prepare to be inspired!
In BD myShopi’s Consumer Activation Forum, prejudices in marketing are invalidated by national and international experts such as Hanan Challouki from communication agency Allyens (tipped on Forbes’ prestigious “30 under 30” list), Filip Lemaitre from consultancy firm The Silver Ones (specialised in senior marketing), Nathalie Dens from the University of Antwerp, Marieke De Konick from the Advertising Factory, Krein Bons from shoe chain vanHaren and Davy Claeys from Media Markt.
Management books
Another afternoon programme gives the stage to the renowned authors of several recent management books. Carole Lamarque from Duval Union, author of the book ‘Unfair Advantage’, tells you how to take an advantege over your competitors. Gino Van Ossel (Vlerick Business School) wrote his book “Retail. The digital hysteria passed” on how to find the right balance between customer orientation, competitiveness and healthy cash flow. RetailDetail founder Jorg Snoeck also tells the story of the award-winning book ‘The Future of Shopping’.
At the Game Changers event, Nils van Dam (global head of food & retail at Duval Union Consulting) answers the pressing question “What if … Amazon comes to the Benelux?” Marketing ico Harry Demey, CEO of LDV United, will take the floor as well. We will be announcing the complete programme shortly.
Awards
In the evening all the participants gather in the large room for the plenary part. According to good practice, retail expert and professor Gino Van Ossel offers a humorous retrospective of the past retail year in his inimitable way. Trend watcher and futurist Richard van Hooijdonk will inspire the audience with a stunning picture of what stores have in store for the next decade. After the Awards for Flyer of the Year and Retailer of the Year, there is ample time for delicious food & drinks and high-level networking.
In short, let us all meet on Thursday 29 November at San Marco Village in Schelle. Book your tickets today via this link – you will also find more information about the program and the necessary practical details.
