The study shows that an overwhelming majority of consumers will use technology while shopping, like apps on smartphones and technology in stores that helps customers view and order items. Customers still predominantly choose to buy their products in an actual store, because they expect faster and better service there – while the social factor still counts as well. Retailers have to make sure they have plenty of products in stock, because 73 % feels a lack of stock is their biggest frustration.
A mere 26 % of customers says it is willing to try out a new retailer, which can be a problem for companies that seek to attract new customers. 11,337 people from 9 countries (including Brazil, Germany, China and the United States) participated in the study.
