French sports chain Decathlon has decided to return to North America: it will open a store in San Francisco this year and one near Montreal (Canada) early next year.

The chain returns to the United States after a decade of absence: it was already present in the Boston area between 1999 and 2006. This time however, it will focus on the West Coast where it is currently choosing locations.
Decathlon will also open a first store in Brossard (Montreal, Canada). The 14,000 sqm store should open its doors on 1 April 2018 in the Mail Champlin mall.
Decathlon had 1,176 stores in 28 countries at the end of 2016 and will cross the 30-country milestone next year.
