Delhaize and bol.com, both Ahold Delhaize subsidiaries, are increasingly working together. Today they have started a first commercial action together as the “Back to school” campaign kicks off, but the aim is to find more mutual benefits.
Bol.com as Delhaize’s non-food branch
The first two cross-over campaigns feature have already started: the first 10,000 Delhaize customers who place an order of at least 75 euros in the web shop, receive a 10 euro discount at bol.com. Conversely, Belgian customers who purchase for at least 75 euros in the Back to school section of bol.com receive a 10 euro discount at Delhaize.be.
The Belgo-Dutch group hopes to increase online spendings of Belgian families with children: with the same goal, bol.com will release a book featuring toy trends and inspiration for children and parents next October – which will also be available in stores of the Belgian supermarket chain.
Both companies are already working together: all self-owned Delhaize stores in the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium will also feature pick-up points for Bol.com. The aim is to expand this offer to as many franchisers as possible by November.
