Erotics chain Christine le Duc wants to seduce again

Erotics chain Christine le Duc wants to seduce again after starting a new life in Dutch ownership. The anonymous new owners who saved the chain from the bankruptcy of former parent company Beate Uhse aim for the Belgian and Dutch market.

Board remains anonymous

Christine le Duc was founded in the Netherlands, but formed a part of German erotics group Beate Uhse for 15 years. Just before the bankruptcy of the latter, a group of Irish investors acquired the chain, only to pass them on to a new – and as of yet unknown – group of Dutch investors. The new face of the company is Audrey van Ham, who still has an intimate knowledge of the chain as former manager at Beate Uhse.

Van Ham admits she is focused on growth: the chain wants to increase its turnover in Belgium and in the Netherlands, mostly through its physical stores. She believes that “being able to sense, smell and hear in the store itself is an added bonus”, unlike former sister chain Pabo, that focuses on online under its new name Be You.
